• Bring confidence patterns. A few proven intruders, leeches, and classics beat a cluttered box.
• Match the fly to the day. More contrast in off-color water, slimmer profiles when it’s clear, and adjust size before you panic-change runs.
• Keep it efficient. Spend time swinging, not digging through pockets.
