River Ready Checklist

  • Have you check your fly box lately?
  • Are your flies okay?
  • Buy your license and required tags/endorsements before leaving.
  • Check if your river or float requires a pass or permit.
  • Verify current fishing regulations and any in-season/emergency updates.
  • Check river level gauges for the section you plan to fish.
  • Check road and pass conditions, especially in winter or shoulder seasons.
  • Check the weather forecast for the river corridor, not just the nearest town.
  • Confirm access points, launch/take-out locations, and land ownership boundaries.
  • Save key links or screenshots in case you lose cell service in canyon areas.
